Whilst we are happy to assess anyone, private assessments can be a very expensive route. Because of this Spirals offer a pre assessment, this will also be used towards your final findings if we continue with further assessments. This provides everyone the opportunity to see if a formal assessment is required. Fees for this pre assessment will be deducted from a formal assessment should you choose that route. 

ASC full assessment - We will carry out an Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) with parents or someone who knows the client well, however we will also contact education providers if for anyone in attendance of school as it enables a full picture to be created and how every day is being impacted. 

Alongside a full history interview an Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS -2) observation will be carried out which enables you to be provided with a multi disciplinary assessment which is required for a gold standard under NICE guidelines. Consultation with your GP and other professionals will also be included.

As part of our investigation with schools and carers we will complete a questionnaire Social Responsiveness scale (SRS), which may highlight ADHD tendencies. If you feel that this is also an area you would like assessed then a full interview (ACE) and assessment (Conners 4 and/or QB connect) can also be included at added to your ASD assessment.  Spirals is not a medical practise and therefore can not recommend or prescribe any medication.
